Appointed as the project principle contractor on a £2.4million complex emergency department delivery of the CT scanner suite upgrade. MF Engineered Solutions were responsible for the provision of mechanical & electrical services.
Working closely with the project delivery team, MF Engineered successfully delivered on:
The Installation on multiple systems involved, the supply and installation of HTM3 complaint Air Handling units, complete with associated ductwork and pipework services which serviced chilled & low temperature hot water coils.
Provision of specialist medical gas services to suit requirements: oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Medical Air, Vacuum, Anaesthetic Gas scavenging system delivered via an area valve service units.
Primary and secondary electrical services to the CT scanner, mechanical plant and all equipment
Primary and secondary containment, small power and data services, lighting services, fire alarm and security Nurse call system, back up services IPS & UPS.
Building management system (BMS): Purpose built CT scanner control panel, Purpose built mechanical services control panel, to maximize system efficiencies.

The project required detailed coordinated operation delivery with the client and key stakeholders to ensure a timely and satisfactory finish with no compromise whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety. The projected was completed in a live hospital environment, with no impact or disruption to the clinical operations.

MF Engineered Solution were appointed as the principal contractor, on a turnkey solution for the design, installation testing and commissioning of the TESCA laboratory LEV system.
MF Engineered Solutions successfully delivered on the supply and installation of the ATEX rated system servicing the Lab’s Fume cabinets, new extraction fan system complete with associated with PPS ductwork services and controls.
The project required meticulous planning and detailed execution working in a live laboratory environment mitigating any impact to operations. Through dynamic engineered solution, we demonstrated the ability to deliver a complex COSHH compliant scheme on budget and on program to the delight of the client and stakeholders.

The project involved the refurbishment of two operating theatres.
Primary deliverables were the mechanical ventilation services, including the design, supply and installation of a critical ventilation plant comprising of new HTM compliant air handling unit. The unit supplies and extracts air to the UVC canopies. Other deliverables include ductwork services upgrades which were carried to the anaesthetic rooms to improve containment cascades and pressure regimes. This enhanced patient safety in line with the latest HTM guidelines.
The project also consisted the dynamic upgrade of the theatres Fire Strategy in line with the latest regulation. We also supplied, installed and commissioned circa 35 smoke fire dampers linked back to the building control panel.
Through innovative planning and project management MF Engineered Solutions were able to complete the project ahead of schedule which allowed for through testing and commissioning. The projected was carried in a controlled environment ( anaesthetic and theatre rooms) and the work we completed vastly improved the room functionality which will lead to greater patient care and outcomes.
